How to create Bitvavo exchange API key

1. Go to Bitvavo and register your account
2. Sign-in to your Bitvavo account
3. Click on your name at the top right and choose “API”
4. Click on the button ‘’Request new API Key’
5. Enter the API key name and the IP address(es) that you want to restrict access to. If you do not supply an IP whitelist, anyone with the keys may perform actions on your account. It is highly recommended to use the IP whitelist.
⚠️NOTE: It is important that multiple IP address must be separated by commas.
6. Choose which permissions you want to add to the API key.
7. Make sure to select the View information and Trade digital assets permissions for your API key
8. Click on ‘’Confirm’’.
⚠️NOTE: To create an API key, 2FA must be enabled.
If you were not able to create API Keys, despite having followed the steps mentioned above, please contact our support team by sending an email to [email protected].
9. Copy the Bitvavo API Key, and Secret Key into the OB Trader and press ‘Connect Exchange’ to start creating trading bots.
